Originally hailing from New Jersey…
cousins Mike Stortz and Jon Hampton reunited in Florida in 2014 and decided to start an indie rock band called Johnny Raincloud with Adolfo Bacigalupo. The band released their self titled EP on Decades Records July 2015 and soon followed up with their 1st LP No More Horses in this One Horse Town which was recorded in Pompano FL at Powerstation Studios with engineer Paul Kronk.
Shortly after the release, Mike and Jon relocated to Portland Oregon summer 2016 and recorded and eleased their 2nd EP Objects in the Mirror Are Closer Than They Appear with multi-instrumentalist Jake Ransom. Timmy Hidalgo later joined the group as the permanent drummer fall 2017 where the band recorded their 2nd LP The Unexpected Death of an Acrobat at Jackpot!
